On April 29, show your library some love!
Fundraising events like these provide enormous support to year-round programming and especially our annual Summer Reading Program, in which all members of the community are challenged to read a certain amount in just 2 months - with the possibility of winning a prize for their efforts! Funds received from East Texas Giving Day also support collection development, including new releases, popular authors, and our well-loved Maker Library. We want to express our gratitude for those who donate whenever they are able. Most everything we do would not be possible without your generosity!
The Whitehouse Community Library staff and volunteers spend a good amount of time planning activities and events for the whole community. Sometimes these require supplies such as paper goods, glues, scissors, and many other little bits and bobs. Other times it can require things like books to include in giveaways for the community, or decorative supplies for annual holiday celebrations.
While we receive a budget from the city, we also rely on your generous donations to help cover unexpected expenses and expand our book collection.
If you would like a tax receipt, we will be able to provide you with one, but please be ready to assign your donations a total value.

We gladly accept books, audiobooks, DVDs and magazine donations. These items must be in good condition. Items donated will be considered for the collection first, then added to our annual book sale if they are duplicates.
